  • When is the next City Council meeting? City Council meetings are held 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7pm in City Hall. *Except in November & December when they meet 1st & 3rd Thursdays due to holidays.
  •  Who do I contact if I want to speak at a City Council meeting?  Contact City Clerk, Tameeka Vann, for all details concerning this matter.  Call City Hall (205) 854-4460.
  • Does Center Point have a Neighborhood Watch Program?  Yes, meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7pm in City Hall. For more info contact, Tim Gann (205) 853-9711.
  • Are Veterans Memorial Stones still available?  Yes.  Order forms are available at City Hall. Call, come by or print your own form.  
  • Who do I call for household/debris removal service?  Advanced Diposal (205) 640-7000. The Advanced Disposal Service includes removal of household garbage, limbs, bagged leaves, etc.  If there is ever a question as to whether advanced Disposal will or will not pick up a certain item please contact them.  Advanced Disposal will make arrangements to deliver a 95 gallon can.
  • Do you have any suggestions on how I can get through to Advanced Disposal?  Advanced Disposal has asked us to encouraged customers to leave voice mails; they do listen to them and respond ASAP. 
  • Advanced Disposal just isn’t handling my situation, can the City help me?  Yes,call City Hall 854-4460
  • Can I burn my debris?  No, there is a no burn ordinance in the City of Center Point
  • Who do I call about a street sign having been knocked over?  Jefferson County Roads & Transportation (205) 849-2321.
  • The neighbors never cut their grass. Who do I call?  City Hall 854-4460, or print and complete a Complaint Form and bring to City Hall.
  •  The neighboring house has trash, furniture etc piled at the road.  Who do I call?  City Hall (205) 854-4460, or print and complete a Complaint Form and bring to City Hall.

  • Is the Jefferson County Courthouse in Center Point open?  Yes.  You may renew your vehicle tags at this location.  Please call them at 714-7175 to check on other services they may offer.

  •  Who do I call for Animal Control?  Please note Animal control only picks up domestic animals i.e. cats, dogs.  Please contact City Hall at (205)854-4460. We will turn your requests over to Animal control.  
  • An animal is loose in the neighborhood and is posing an immediate threat. What can be done now? If ever there is an immediate threat i.e. the animal is growling, chasing, & holding you at bay.  Contact Jefferson County Sheriff Dispatch 325-1450.
  •  What can be done about an animal being mistreated? If an animal is being seriously mistreated (i.e. no shelter, food, water etc.). Please contact Jefferson County Sheriff Dispatch 325-1450.
  •  Do I need a permit to have a yard sale? We do not require a permit to have a yard sale, however, there are rules regarding where signs can be placed. Please contact City Hall for further information.
